Welcome back, I hope you are all having an awesome Canada Day, despite the weather. As you might’ve guessed, today’s post is another review! This time it’s on the Juvia’s Place Limited Edition – Zulu Palette.
This palette got sold out once or twice before I decided to finally get it. Prior to that I haven’t done my research and I haven’t checked other Beauty Influencer’s reviews.
So when I finally got this, I was super excited. I’m digging the colorful shades lately, that’s one of the main reasons I got this palette.
Here’s the swatches of the palette. I think that they have maybe reformulated the eyeshadows, since it wasn’t as pigmented as the other palette. I used the Smashbox 24 hour shadow primer before swatching the eyeshadows. I found that swatching it with a brush wasn’t showing it’s true potential.
Okay, so I know that they might not swatch properly but let’s try creating
Here are the shades that I used in this palette:
Here’s another look I did using the Zulu Palette.
So the eyeshadows were quite easy to blend. They have a bit of fallout, but that’s normal I guess when you use the shimmery shades. I didn’t have much difficulty blending them out. But I found that the purple was quite patchy and had to go back in it a few time to get the color that I wanted.
Overall, I love this palette, not as much as I love the Saharan and the Masquerade. I don’t understand why they changed the formula on this one. My recommendation would be to go with the Magic’s palette. It’s a bit more pricey but you have more eyeshadows and the formula is the same as the previous palettes. I honestly should’ve listened to my guts and bought the Magic Palette instead of this one. Needless to say, I love these colors. I don’t have anything like it so it’ll be quite useful when I do some Halloween or any colorful looks.
That’s all for today’s post. Thanks for reading and Happy Canada Day everyone! 🙂
Have fun and be safe!
Lots of love,
