Welcome back and happy Wednesday!
I hope you are all having a wonderful sunny day. 🙂
I wanted to share a quick brush tutorial on the Luxie Kabuki Brush Set that I bought a few weeks ago. My friend bought this a while back and I was quite intrigue. So, I decided to buy the set as a Mother’s day gift to myself. Hahaha! I tried these brushes out for the past few weeks and absolutely love them. They are soft and work great at packing the contour and blending out my foundation.
Let’s begin, this set might be a little confusing. So, I decided to do a quick demo on how I personally use these brushes. I find each one of them quite handy!
Below, I will put down the recommended use from their website and afterwards what I use it for. I hope this help you guys out. 🙂
* Please note that these are simply suggestions. You can use these brushes any way you like. 🙂
538 Flat Angled Blender Makeup Brush
Luxie Website: “Use with your favorite liquid or cream foundation, or use to define your cheek area with cream or liquid bronzer or contour products.”
Lifestyle with MJ: I use this brush to take off the setting powder on my face after baking. I find the angled side helps a lot when you want to take off the excess powder under your eyes and around your nose.
536 Pointed Top Kabuki Makeup Brush
Luxie Website: “Use to blend out your favorite cream or liquid concealer, or use with your favorite loose powder to set your undereye area.”
Lifestyle with MJ: I use this brush as they have recommended it. I find that using this brush to set the loose powder under my eye helps with the quantity. I find that it applies quite well and evenly.
534 Angled Top Buffer Makeup Brush
Luxie Website: “Use to apply and blend your favorite liquid, cream, or powder bronzer or blush products onto your cheeks.”
Lifestyle with MJ: I use this brush to apply my contour or bronzer. It works wonders, makes your bronzer or contour look natural.
532 Round Top Blender Makeup Brush
Luxie Website: “Use in buffing motions to blend out your favorite liquid or cream contour products, or to apply mineral foundation in buffing motions.”
Lifestyle with MJ: I use this brush as recommended. Ever since I got this brush I’ve been using this to blend out my foundation. This has totally replaced my Tarte Kabuki Brush. I like that the brush isn’t too big, so you can blend your foundation properly.
530 Round Top Blender Makeup Brush
Luxie Website: “For best results, use to apply your favorite cream or liquid foundation, or use with any loose or pressed powder to set your face.”
Lifestyle with MJ: I use this brush to blend out my primer evenly.
Here’s a quick demo on how I use the brushes. I hope you all enjoy it 🙂
